Public Service by The BEARS:

Manchester Road Race - Thanksgiving Day 2016

The BEARS supply 55 hams to man observation stations every quarter mile along the race course, to shadow the race organizers, to facilitate loading/unloading of shuttle buses, synchronize race clocks, and more. They provide similar services on a smaller scale for the "Little Road Race" held for children on the previous Saturday.

Hockanum River Canoe and Kayak Race - Sunday April 3

The BEARS provide radio communications along the Hockanum River from the Manchester-Tolland line to the dam behind the McDonalds on Burnside Avenue in East Hartford.
